ProQuest Quick Reference Sheet

Create Custom Login URLs to your preferred language platform

This document will allow you to create a link that will point your end-users to the
ProQuest interface in your preferred language.

Currently, ProQuest supports the following 18 languages: Arabic, Chinese (Simpl.),


Chinese (Trad.), English, French, German, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese,
Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Thai and Turkish.

Follow these steps to create a link to your preferred language platform:

1. Enter your ProQuest LAD Account at http://lad.proquest.com/ladweb using the


access details you were given in the welcome email of your subscription. If you
cannot find those, please contact our Customer Services at:
customer_service@proquest.co.uk

2. Go to Account Preferences

2.1 Create Links to ProQuest Databases page. Or, select Create custom
links to ProQuest Databases from the Quick Picks pull-down menu.

3. Select the desired databases:

Note: Some databases, such as the Professional Research Databases (Agricola, Eric or Medline)
are not cross-searchable, and will let you select only a single database.

4. Set the desired search settings:
 Click Select Search Settings.
 Select your preferred language interface under Interface Type

5. Click Create URL.


You will see a page displaying the settings. In the yellow section you will see a link.

6. Highlight the link and copy it.


7. Paste the link in the Address bar of your browser and/or post it at your website.
