How to clean the HUAWEI FreeBuds and FreeLace

series earphones

To ensure a favorable experience, it is recommended that you clean the

earphones on a weekly basis, especially the sound emitting hole, charging port,
metal contacts, ear tips, and parts that touch your skin when you wear the
earphones.

You can use alcohol wipes or antibacterial wipes to clean the external surface of
the wireless earphones. However, to prevent moisture or water from entering the
earphones, do not use these wipes to clean the ear tips, ear caps, charging
contacts and ports, speaker meshes, sound emitting holes, and sound outlet.

Clean the FreeBuds series TWS earphones

1. Clean the charging case, port, and charging contacts:

Use a soft and dry cloth to clean the charging case. If necessary, you can also
use a wet wipe containing 70% alcohol to clean the external surface of the
charging case. Ensure that the charging case is dry before putting the
earphones back inside.
Use a soft, clean, and dry brush to remove any objects in the charging port.
Use a clean and dry cotton swab with a pointed tip to gently clean the surface of
the charging contacts on the charging case.

Do not use a cloth soaked in water to clean the charging case and do not
use excessive force to clean the charging case, otherwise you may deform
the contact points on it or damage the surface of the case.
If the earphones have been exposed to sweat, shower gel, shampoo, or
other liquids, or if you have worn the FreeBuds series earphones during a
workout, make sure to clean and dry the surface and charging contacts of
the earphones before putting the earphones back into the case.
2. Clean the holes and vents on the earphones: Use a clean and dry cotton swab
with a pointed tip to gently remove the dirt and earwax from the holes, and then
use a soft cloth to clean the holes.
For details about the positions of the holes and vent, see Function buttons and
ports of the earphones.

3. Clean the ear tips:

Remove the ear tips from the earphones, and wash them with clean water or
clean them with a wet wipe that does not contain alcohol. Do not use soap or
other household cleaning products.
Use a soft, clean, and dry cloth to clean the ear tips before installing them back
onto the earphones.
