Unless the Contractors Representative is named in the Contract, the C ontractor shall, Within 14 d
ays of Notice lo Proceed, submit to the Engineer for consent the name and particulars of the person
the Contractor proposes to appoint. The Contractor shall not revoke the appointment of the
Contractor's Representative without the prior consent of the Engineer. The Contractor's R
epresentative so nominated shall have full authority to act on behalf of the contractor, The Cont
ractor's Representative shall give his wh ole time to directing the prep arat ion of the Conslruclion
and/or Manufacture Documents and the execution of the Works. The Contractor's Representative
shall receive (on behalf of the Contractor) aJI notices, instructions, consents, no objection certificate
approvals, . Certificates, determinations and other communications under the Contract. When·ever
the Contractor's R epresentative is to be absent from the Sile, a suitable replacement

person shall be appointed, with prior consent of Engineer. Failure on part of the Contractor to
compiy with these provisions shall constitute a breach of Contract leading to action under Sub-
Clause 13.2 The Contractor's RepresP.ntative may delegate any of his powers, functions and
authorities to any competent person, and may at any time revoke �ny such delegation. Any such
delegation or revocation shall be in writing and shall not take effect until the Engineer has given
prior consent thereto. The Contractor's Representative and such persons shall be fluent in the
·language of day to day communication and the Contractor shall be bound by and fully liable (or the
acts or o missions of the Contractor's Representatives or' any of his employees and/or delegates,
agents or nominees. The Contractor shall not impede and shall afford all necessary facilities, access.
