Creation

Creation refers to the practice of bringing the universe into ordered existence. The story

of creation is found in Genesis 1 and 2, which reveals how God created the world and the order

of creation. Genesis is the first book of the Bible that discusses the story of creation. The book

shows the order in which God followed to create the world. From the story of creation, it is

revealed that human beings were the last creatures God made. The human being is the most

special creature of God. The human being was created with the likeness and image of God,

unlike other creatures. God's twin reasons for creation are offering what God has created and

demonstrating his nature and character. Humanity's utilization of creation should enhance the

capacity to creation to reveal God and offer persons and other creatures on the planet currently in

the imminent. To better comprehend the idea of creation as revealed in the Bible, one should

discuss why Adam and Eve were the only human beings created by God as revealed in the Bible,

Genesis 1 and 2.

In the beginning, God made the earth and heaven. According to the Bible, in Genesis

chapter 1, verses 2, the earth was void without any form. “The earth was a formless void, and

darkness covered the face of the deep, while a wind from God swept over the face of the waters”

(Genesis1: 2). During creation, God used his word to create the world, but the creation of human

beings was special. After the creation of other things in the world, God decided to create man in

a special way and said, "Then God said, Let us make humankind in our image, according to our

likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, and over the

cattle, and over all the wild animals of the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon

the earth. (Genesis 1: 26). Therefore God made man in his image; in his image, he made man and

woman. Creating man in his image does not simply mean that God is physically similar to

human beings but means that the features of a human being are obtained from those of God the

creator.

The first creation of God is discussed in the second chapter of Genesis, where it reveals

how God created Adam and Eve. The book of Genesis reveals to the people that Adam was the

first human being created on the planet earth. Adam was created from dust, with the likeness and

image of God. After creating Adam from the dust, God endowed him with a breath of life; Adam

obtained a soul through this. Thereafter, God chose to make the Garden of Eden; in the garden,

he planted a unique plant that was illegal for a man to consume. Apart from the forbidden tree,

God planted other trees that Adam was allowed to eat. “And the Lord God commanded the man,

saying, of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat, but of the tree of the knowledge of

good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die

(Genesis 2: 16-17)”. Besides, God created rivers in the Garden of Eden that would provide man

with water for drinking and other uses. After the creation of Adam and the Garden of Eden, God

realized that man was lonely and needed to create another human. God knew that Adam would

require more than the sky and the animals present on earth. Consequently, God decided to take

Adam’s rib, and from the rib, he made Even. Even was created as a part of Adam since she was

obtained from his flesh. This part is significant because it inspires the Christian to acknowledge

wife and man through Even and Adam unification. After the Creation of Adam and Eve, God

blessed the two human beings and told them to multiply, be fruitful, refill the planet, and pacify

it (Genesis 1:28). God also ordered Adam and Eve to dominate the fowl of air, the fish in the sea,

and all other creatures that move upon Earth.

After the creation of Adam and Eve, God gave the two human beings the responsibility to

procreate. God gave Adam and Eve the responsibility of filling the planet earth, which shows

that God's creation had come to an end, and now it was the responsibility of human beings to

continue God's work of creation. In the story of creation revealed in Genesis 1 and 2, there are

only two human beings created by God. The story of creation in the two chapters does not

mention the creation of any other human being, apart from Adam and Eve, who was created from

Adam's rib. Besides, the act of God giving Adam and Eve the responsibility to fill the earth

demonstrates that God had handed over the role of creation to Adam and Even. If God was going

to do much creation, he would not command human beings to fill the earth.

In conclusion, Genesis is the first book of the Bible that discusses the story of creation.

The book shows the order in which God followed to create the world. From the story of creation,

According to the information provided in Genesis chapters one and two, Adam and Even were

the only human beings that God created.
