Tandok is a tranditional medicine that involves the use of an animal horn to remove venom,

rabies and tetanus. It is also said to relieve headaches, cold and other light illnesses. This traditional way
of medicine is practiced by Quack Doctors (QD). Quack doctors (in the Philippines) are usually people
who practice the use and application of traditional medicine. The Tandok horn is also used by QD’s to
suck the venom, rabies and tetanus out, this method is faster than letting the horn automatically suck
the venom out. As good as it may sound, in today’s world, the Tandok is not a medically viable way to
treat diseases especially ones as dangerous as rabies however, speaking from my personal experience I
say that, although Tandok is not as effective as today’s medicine and rabies vaccine it is a viable first aid
option for these diseases
