Reflection: Inside Islam

Islam comes from the word ‘peace’, however, many western people west never associate
peace with Islam, to them Islam appears to be a hostile religion that gives sanction to violence
and terrorism. The documentary "Inside Islam" reveals the enigma of a religion that is grossly
misunderstood. With the help of this documentary film, Americans' perceptions of Islam are
meant to be changed, and they're also meant to see how close Christian teaching is to Islamic
doctrine. The documentary provides me an understanding on the beliefs of Islam that has been
misunderstood and misinterpret by many people from other religions.

On the documentary film entitled “Inside Islam” provide it presents a vivid introduction
and a thorough study to the ideas and beliefs of Muslim people—believers of Islam—as well as
a clear and supreme view and perception of the real definition of the religion belief Islam. This
presentation on Islam is really educational. It depicts the religious history in a time-based
manner. After watching the documentary film, I realized that Islam often misunderstood by
many people. Thus, it explains that Islam has a connected beliefs with Christians and Judaism.
The ‘’Inside Islam’’ lift the Islam beliefs wherein it discusses how the beliefs of Islam has
similarities and differences with the other religion such as Christian. And that, despite the
brutality associated with it, "Inside Islam" declares that Islam is a religion of peace, humanity,
and understanding. The film contrasts the writings of the Qur'an with the beliefs of violent acts
that are known to all the uneducated people around the world. By dispelling the enigma
surrounding a misunderstood religion. Discover how the Five Pillars, the religion's core
principles, assisted in bringing Islam to the remote reaches of the globe as you trace its origins
back to the Hebrew Bible. Find out what the Qu'ran says about violence, conflict, and suicide
and how radicals have appropriated these concepts. Listen to specialists like Khaled Abou el

After watching the documentary film, I learned that understanding the Islam beliefs is
very crucial especially to us future teachers, as we will teach children with diverse cultural
background. For me to be able to become a good teacher, I should able to understand the
different background that my students have, to me to create a classroom environment that
promotes understanding, respect and love to diversity. By providing equal opportunity for
everyone regardless of their race, religion, etc. that will keep them feel safe and accepted.
