THE CASE

Its been 2 decades since SBI entered the securities


market. SBI Securities is a stock broking arm of the
State Bank of India (SBI). SBI securities started by
offering a 3-in-1 account, a combination of demat,
trading and bank account. However the company
couldn’t succeed in meeting its targets .

In recent years, newage brokering firms like Zerodha ,


Upstox ,and Groww have disrupted the market by
offering innovative and user - friendly platforms, low
pricing, and a range of value-added services. To
tackle this SBI Securities have recently gone through
a Brand Transformation!

With the New Brand Identity in place, create a Go-To-


Market Plan from the financial and marketing POV to
create a nation-wide awareness and acquire at least 3
million new Demat & Trading accounts.
We are seeking your expertise and creativity to develop a
comprehensive plan that will increase awareness and participation
in the security market among the general population of the country.
For this purpose, we request that you create a PowerPoint
presentation of no more than 12 slides (excluding intro and thank
you slides) that outlines your strategy.

Your presentation should include:

A thorough competitive
analysis.
Analysis on current
demographics.
Suggested solutions to improve
participation and awareness of
the security market.
A forecast of market
penetration in India.

While the above deliverables serve


as guidelines, you are free to
explore additional avenues and
thought processes that may
enhance your proposal. We are
looking for innovative and creative
ideas that can effectively target
the population and increase their
awareness and participation in the
security market.
