1. Editorial Cartoon – a one-
panel or stand – alone comics in
which the main intent is to present
an opinion. It does not only show
opinions, but it uses biting wit,
caricature and subtle humor to
drive home its point. It takes sides
and provokes thinking on politics
and social issues.
Being single frame, an editorial
cartoon delivers its message
concisely, quickly and painlessly.
Cartoonist have been creating
amusing characters and fantasy
creatures for a long time. Yet
there is no precise instruction
as to how cartoon characters
can be invented. Cartoon
characters just happen, usually
unintentionally.
