Brain surgeon(neurosurgeon)

I want to start this article with an important question:

How do you feel when you see someone with movement disorders?
Brain surgeons or neurosurgeons treat patients' diseases and injuries specifically related to the
brain, spinal cord and nerves in other areas of the body. Brain surgeons deal with neurological
diseases that include movement disorders, epilepsy and headaches. My goal is also to become
a brain surgeon so I can help people with neurologic diseases like movement disorders or poor
people that can’t afford expensive hospitals.
What Does a Brain Surgeon Do?
Becoming a brain surgeon gives you the opportunity to focus on a variety of health issues and
performing surgery. These can include diseases such as strokes, tumours, and trauma in
addition to that dealing with disorders in the central and peripheral nervous systems.
Additionally, brain surgeons treat congenital diseases that negatively impact the spine. As it is a
very complex type of medical specialization the ability to have the training and experience in
this field is extremely important as you would be focusing on a part of the body that controls all
the body and could be dangerous if you do anything wrong.
How Much Will I Earn?
The average salary of a brain surgeon is $251,650 per year. surgeons are known to work long
hours and overnight shifts and also have quite irregular schedules. Within this schedule, brain
surgeons may have to travel between hospitals or clinics and occasionally are on call for
emergency circumstances.
What is The Job Outlook?
Jobs for brain surgeons are expected to see a 3% decline between 2020-2030 period. However,
the demand is expected to increase due to the growing and aging population. Furthermore, the
demand is predicted to be very strong because of difficulties in obtaining and maintaining
doctors.
Are There Any Alternative Careers?
There are other options that require medical degrees such as becoming a chiropractor, dentist,
optometrist, or even podiatrist. These are all similar fields that provide you with a chance to
help patients.
