Week At A Glance Lesson Plan

Date: October 26th, 2020-November 5th, 2020


Teacher(s): Mattie Reesman, Hailey Schumacher, and Hailee Fischer
Statement of Intent for Learning: The children will continue to use short sentences to express their
wants and needs. They will also continue to work on using manners with their peers and teachers.

For the art table, there will be paint with rollers for the children to create with. In

the second week, we will add new materials, such as loofas and sponges.
The children will explore the blocks with large dinosaurs. During the second week,

there will be people added into the block area as well.

Books There will be various books that are familiar and of interest to the children.

The children will continue to work on fine motor skills of writing and letter

recognition with white boards and dry erase markers.
The dramatic play will be set up like a gym for large motor development. There

will be a slide, balance beam, self-spinners, balls, ball pen, a rocking horse, and
more.
Quiet The quiet manipulatives will encourage a variety of fine motor and mathematic
Manipulatives skills such as matching, connecting, investigating new materials, and exploring
puzzles.
Science For the science table, the children will investigate the insides of pumpkins.

At the sensory table, the children will interact with moon sand and use varying
Sensory utensils with the sand, such as measuring cups and cookie cutters. For the second
week we will add rocks and sea shells into the moon sand for further exploration.

Light Table For the light table, the children will explore building with light Duplos.
