 Choose any one topic
 Speaking Time – 2 minutes
 Preparation time – 1 minute
 The participant will be allowed to select the topic once only.
 Participants will not be allowed to take any paper or material with him
or her during the speech.

Importance of Books in our Lives
Books play a crucial role in our lives they entertain us through stories and even
educate us. History is written in it. Thus, it connects us to our past of who we were
and paves a path to what we may become. They give us ideas from people all
around the world. It enhances our imagination as it gives us opportunity to relive of
what was there in a story, an Autobiography, etc. For Example, books of the Harry
Potter series by J.K Rowling. Reading books is also one of the ways to relieve
stress. By Reading books, it gives us an opportunity to explore new words and
therefore increasing our vocabulary. Books are just more than entertainment and
knowledge it can change one’s like in a positive way encouraging to do good in
society. It Also improves our writing skills because it exposes us to new words
different ways of writing. Therefore, Books play an important role in our lives.
