    introduced legislation in January that
    would designate a portion of the Duck
    River as a Class II scenic river to ultimately
    enforce environmental and conservational
    rules.

    2022
    City leaders in Murfreesboro said they've
    found another contaminated spring
    stemming from a controversial landfill—
    but a spokesperson for Middle Point
    Landfill told FOX 17 News the city's claims
    are "unproven and untrue."

    Central Tennessee Region Solid Waste
    Planning Board ultimately says that TDEC
    should not expand Middle Point Landfill in
    Rutherford County.
