CODE PROCEDURE: ON HEARING FIRE ALARM
Go to Annunciator Panel to determine fire location
Announce Code Red and Location Call 911- give name, address and situation Lock down elevator Take up to 4 staff with keys to fire zone. Locate room of fire origin, enter only if door handle not hot and no smoke Remove occupants (if safe to enter) and close door to contain fire Update 911 on status Instruct staff to evacuate zone beginning with rooms closest to fire Assign additional staff to evacuate adjacent and above zones, moving residents continually farther away from the fire Ensure no staff put themselves at risk Keep GM notified
