technology before the Spanish arrived. They settled in different areas across the
country and made simple tools and weapons of stone flakes and later developed

Parish schools were establish where they
taught religion, writing, arithmetic, and

education while higher education was

were used, which gave rise to the development of
ceramics, potteries, weavings, handicrafts, and
other devices.
