Add/remove folders
You will see the list of folders on the right side in the same way as you are used to when opening
the Measurements.
If all folders are closed, you can select / deselect complete folders from the list by clicking into the
white box.
Add/remove measurements
Click on a folder on the right side to open the content.
By removing / adding checkmarks you can select the parameters that should be displayed. Here
an example for the doppler measurements of the mitral valve.

If you select one measurement from the menu on the right side you will see all related
parameters. Here you can also select/deselect single parameters in the same way.

Add a folder
Select your mode and make sure all folders are closed.
Press the button Add folder.
Add a subfolder
Open an existing folder i.e. Mitralvalve, press Add folder and type in a name.
This will appear now as a subfolder inside the Mitralvalve folder

Some examples:
2D measurements
2D calliper = distance
2D double calliper = 2 times distance (can calculate the ratio)
2D circle = area
M-Mode
MM calliper = distance or time difference
MM time calliper = time difference
MM LV study, RV study, MV and LA/AO = as known from the M-Mode
Doppler
SD point calliper = 1 point for velocity and pressure
SD calliper = 2 points to mark velocitie and pressure also calculates the pressure difference, time
difference, dp/dt, pht…
SD manual trace = trace curve for maximum and mean velocity, pressure and VTI
These are only some examples, there are much more possibilities.
After selecting the tool there are all related parameters shown on the screen.
Each parameter that should be used needs to have a name.
Parameters without a name are not shown later on. In this way you can make a selection of your
useful parameters.
Here an example.
As measurement the SD calliper is used.

Only the velocities and pressures are used here and the time difference.
As shown, all parameters with a name have the checkmark and will be used later on. All
parameters without changes to the default name will not be displayed during working later on.

This means the formula needs to be set up in a way that all parameters and functions are in a row
following the mathematical rules.
Here an example:
The operators and parameters can be chosen from the list, to avoid misunderstandings.
Parameters are displayed as followed:

You see the parameter name and in bracket the folder where the measurement is placed.
Create your formula only by using these possibilities.
At the end you can make a check. The system will recognise missing brackets or mistakes of
mathematical principles. It can of course not check if the formula is right.
At the end type in your unit (can not be checked by the system).
General information
All factory parameters you can add to the formula are processed in the background in SI units.
SI units are the standard units for parameters like distance, time, weight and so on.
Some examples:
Distance = meter
Time = second
Weight = kilogram
Therefore you have to add the unit than the system is calculating from SI Unit to your desired unit.
If you don’t add the unit, the result of the formula is displayed in SI Units.
When you add a completely new parameter the system can’t now what is the SI Unit of this.
Therefore you need to add some multiplication factors as 100, 1000 or so on to make the
conversion.
