Performance Standards
The learners are able to:
⮚ discuss the five major accounts
Rationale
This performance task will help the students familiarize themselves with the 5 major accounts
and identify them in a real setting or business scenario.
The activity will also help the learners to hone their communication and observation skills since
they will be interacting (by way of introductory letter and interview) with entrepreneurs and
visiting business entities in their neighborhood.
Procedure/Mechanics
In your neighborhood choose a business that you can observe and will help you identify the 5
major accounts.
You can prepare an introduction letter and present it to the owner of the business so they will
cooperate and assist you in making the performance task. A sample introductory letter is
included for you to use as a reference.
Observe the business and try to identify as many accounts you can.
Please ask the permission of the business owner if you can take pictures of the business.
