The importance of learning

A Reflective Essay

Education is an important tool which is very useful in everybody’s life. It empowers humans and gets them ready to
face challenges of life efficiently. Only when the people realize what importance it holds, can they consider it a
necessity for a good life.Also there are many of us among us making faces by the name of studies. It might be the
most boring work for most of us but studying helps in making ourselves shine in different times of life and nothing
else can replace the importance of studies in our life. In this essay I will give some examples how to improve the
quality of learning and what is the value of higher education.

Firstly, I will answer in question: What does it mean and how to know if you to learned something? This is a simple
question that are hard to answer. Students in most time are struggling when they need to learn something and they
are being afraid to not get a good mark in the exam. To know if you learned something you need to do just some
easy steps to check: firstly think if you can understand the things that you have read, then ask yourself questions
about what you have studied. Another way to check if you have learned something is to narate the essential things
that you have learned to your family member or friend and request for them to ask a few question about that topic.
In this way you wil get more confidence and will see if you have learned all the things or you need a little bit more
attention to some things.

Moving on to the next point, many students do not understand which learning method is most helpful for them to
absorb and learn the necessary information. You can only find out after trying all the methods, maybe you absorb
the information best when you write it down in a notebook or maybe when you read it out loud. Once you find a
method that works for you, everything will be easier, all you have to do is focus and start learning. The most
effective way of learning for me is reading information out loud and in this way, I remember the information for a
long time. To learn something deeply I read the information for at least three times, that it would be in my memory
for a long time. Reading a few times helps me not only memorise key things but also improves my focus and
vocabulary. In addition, you can achieve the best results by learning in a method that suits you. in my case, I studied
biology a lot at school, I read it every day and spent time on it. One day, the teacher invited me to participate in the
Biology Olympiad, and I took second place, and when I found out it was the best evaluation of my efforts. What I
want to say is that you need to find best method to learn and with that you can archieve best things in life.

Talking about higher education, studying at university allows us to improve our communication, motivation and
leadership skills.Some students do not understand the importance of university, they say that you can work all the
works without the dyplom but in my opinion that people are unjust. In my view, higher education allow you to gain
confidence, learn to manage your time and solve problems. In my case, I want to get an education so that I would be
a good specialist in my field and when I get a job I would know what to do in one or another situation. Education, in
my opinion, will change me for the better, it will give me a lot of experience, self-confidence and knowledge that I
can use in the future. After completing my studies, I want to be able not only to be a good specialist in my field, but
also to effectively solve the problems that can arise anytime. As Jiddu Krishnamurti say: “There is no end to
education. It is not that you read a book, pass an examination, and finish with education. The whole of life, from the
moment you are born to the moment you die, is a process of learning.” So it is important for all the people to do not
stop learning and achieve a highest results that you can to succeed.

Putting it all together, a lot of information and knowledge can be obtained through learning as long as the learner
uses the best method for learning. Students are also different because there are those who understand better by
seeing while others understand through writing in notebook or reading loud. So, it is necessary for each student to
understand the best concept to use in order to improve the understanding level. Basically, learners are not the same
and they need to find the best for them.
