Words and music by Dennis Lamber and Brian Potter

Refrain
Go ahead and hate your neighbor, go ahead and cheat a friend.
Do it in the name of heaven, justify it in the end.
There won’t be any trumpets blowin’ come the judgment day
on the bloody morning after…one tin soldier rides away.
Now the valley cried with anger; mount your horses, draw your sword!
and they killed the mountain people, so they won their just reward.
Now they stood beside the treasure on the mountain, dark and red,
turned the stone and looked beneath it. “Peace on earth” was all it
said. Questions:
1. What does the song tell us? Does this really happen?
2. How can this happen?
3. What is genocide? What are the forms of genocide?
4. What is the implication of committing genocide?
5. How does this relate to our life now?
6. Why would people adhere to arrogance and greed? Why would people crave for more?
Why would people kill?
7. Is it true that people never get contented? Why?
