II. PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Sangguniang Kabataan Officials of Barangay Cuambog upon the
declaration of the President of the Philippines in making the entire
Philippines under ”State of Calamity until September 2021”, will conduct an
"Information Educational Campaign on Disaster Awareness of COVID-19
Variants cum Distribution of COVID-19 Protection Kit" that will tackle health
related issues and concerns about the uprising cases of COVID-19 in the
locality of Barangay Cuambog and on how to contain the spread of the said
virus. This activity shall follow the observance of shared-responsibilities
among the Sangguniang Kabataan Officials and the Katipunan ng
Kabataan to come up with the meaningful participation in doing this activity
that will promote the general welfare, development and empowerment of
the youth in the barangay through this activity.

III. BACKGROUND AND RATIONALE

The youth is one of the important segments of our society, most formidable
yet - an untapped and unmanaged sector. They usually engage in social
transformation of our country and they involve themselves in addressing
various issues such as: socio-economic and political conditions,
environmental-health conditions, and disaster resiliency condition in the
community. They have responded to these issues through different ways.

Therefore, we should include them to worthwhile change and development

by tapping their potentials. These are feasible if they form part in the
governance through timely and significant programs and advocacies.

With these purpose, we propose to ask your support in the

PREPAREDNESS ON COVID-19 VARIANTS cum DISTRIBUTION OF
COVID-19 PROTECTION KIT.

IV. OBJECTIVES
Along with the Council’s objectives, the program seeks to:
Consult and secure the concurrence of the Katipunan ng Kabataan to be
aware of all the programs, plans and activities of the government;
Develop the youth to become responsible individuals and promoter of
awareness campaign for general welfare;
Empower the youth as advocates and conduits in development; and
Encourage young leaders to participate in various activities organize by the
government to develop their aptitude as empowered youth.

V. STRATEGIES AND METHODOLOGY

Sangguniang Kabataan Officials planning for the activity.

Propose activity to BLGUs.
Conduct consultative meetings with the council for the smooth
implementation of the activity.
Identify target participants.
Conduct facilitators’ meeting.
Conduct the activity.
Give acknowledgment to the participants through recognition of
participation.
Conduct after-activity evaluation to check the results of the activity.

VI. EXPECTED RESULTS

This activity will inculcate positive values, attitudes and behaviour that will
ultimately develop a character-based empower leaders among our youth. It
will also foster equality and unity of different communities and youth groups
leading to synergy and commitment to community development. It will
further enable the youth to discover, affirm and further use their inherent
leadership attributes that will later create a positive impact to the society.

• SK FUND – P13,740.00

*The Sangguniang Kabataan Officials of Barangay Cuambog through the

SK Fund shall shoulder the budgetary requirements. The Sangguniang
Kabataan Officials of Barangay Cuambog will exercise over-all supervision
of the activity from planning up to completion.
