Abandonment of Existing and Installation of New Foul Drainage Diversion
Involves:
● Clay and plastic drainage installation
● Concrete Chambers
● Excavator
● Pipe Lazer
● Pipe Grease and Collars

Training
All operatives are adequately trained to carry out required tasks and have attended a site induction.
Specific skilled operatives such as plant operators hold current certification and have the following training:
● CPCS certification

Access and Egress
Deliveries will be offloaded from the front of site via 8m JCB telehandler
Materials placed into position at rear of site
Stacked in line with manufacturer’s instructions
A stone ramp approx..4m wide at 1:10 Gradient is present from roadside to working surface
The working surface consists of a piling mat of 375mm compacted and rolled 6f2 stone
The surface is to be checked regularly for suitability of the tower scaffold
Site Induction
Upon arrival and prior to work commencing, all personnel will report to the site office to be inducted by the
site manager.
Plant operative tickets will be checked and a full review of the Risk Assessment and Method statement will
be carried out.
Signed records of the induction will be stored in the site office file

Working at height
When working at height, site operatives must ensure that the working area is cleared on a periodical basis
to ensure that there is continually a clear and safe working area to prevent slips trips and falls.
First aid
Refer to the onsite safety notice board for all first aid information.
A first aid box with enough equipment to cope with 20 workers on site should is provided within the site
office.
Emergency procedures
The client or principal contractor will ensure that the existing site emergency procedures are followed and
that relevant information is given to operatives at time of induction or when changes are made to
procedures.
