Yes, when you add a crystal of a solute to an unsaturated solution, the crystal dissolves, becoming part of the solution.

It dissolved because when you add salt to a saturated solution, it will immediately precipitate to the bottom of the containment
vessel.

It increases. Because if you add more the solution would become unstable therefore forming crystals.

By adding a very small amount of solute. If the solution is unsaturated, the solute will dissolve. If the solution is saturated,
it won't. If the solution is supersaturated, crystals will form very quickly around the solute you've added.
