Personally, I think I have developed my communication and information literacy skills

greatly this past semester. I think I have mastered, or very close to mastering, my written

communication and information literacy skills.Although we did do it in High School, we

didn’t do quite as much as what I have done in this past semester. I have learnt a lot more

about effective writing skills, ways to make my essays and responses a lot better and I

learnt how to write a research essay which I have never done before. I think with the

information and the practice I have had with those skills the past semester I will

definitely be able to use it successfully in any of my other classes in the future. During

this past semester I have learnt how to do a in-detail rhetorical analysis on a passage and I

think I will have the ability to do it about any passage that I might need to in other

classes. I also learnt how to write a summary-response essay the right way. The responses

we did throughout the year also taught me skills on how to be able to reflect back on

something and explain my own view on certain topics. I also learn how to do research on

articles and find articles that would be helpful and that will have the information I need.

Overall I am very happy with my progress in this class and I have learnt a lot.
