I will tell you something about my story.

I have worked as a nursing assistant since 2019. During the practice I have evidenced that every

human being has gone through a difficult process and that empathy has not been taken into

account until today. I have only had one job but I have not had contact with hospital patients for

a long time. In practice I have been in different hospital services but the nursing home has been

one of the most significant experiences of my life. In the nursing home I have found many

grandmothers who have no family. They have been abandoned for a long time. i've been

remembering that experience lately. they have gone through needs. they have been sharing

clothes and toothbrushes. the food is not of the best quality. they have lived in difficult conditions

as well as many people from the street. they have needed a lot of love and attention during their

entire stay there.The only good thing is that when there are practitioners they are accompanied

and receive dynamic activities. On the first visit I have seen things that moved me and even more

the stories that they told us about each one. I have cried a lot remembering that is when I have

remembered that we are all human and feel There was an old lady named Rosarito who couldn't

speak but always had a smile on her face. She was so beautifulI still haven’t forgotten you. I

remember that they liked that I did their braids and more for the young women because there

are young people in the asylum They have taught me more than I expected.

I remember receiving a letter from Laura, a patient there who made a Christmas drawing for me

that I have kept in a chest to remember as one of the best experiences of my life.

Lately I have thought about how different life would be if we all had empathy for others.
