In a management viewpoint, staffing is perhaps one of the most important
function, as such it touches not only filling vacant positions but filling the right personnel in the right job, at right time. It is used to match people with jobs so that the organization's purpose can be achieved. Within his area of responsibility, the engineer manager must be concerned with putting the right people in the proper positions. Despite the fact that the human asset office is responsible for a few of the most important components of staffing, the building director has a tremendous responsibility to ensure that the right individuals are assigned to roles that are appropriate for their skills. Overall, staffing is important as it is the function that decides human asset needs, recruits, trains, chooses, and generates human assets for the employments produced by an organization.
