ABSTRACT

The study revolves around the objective of identifying the health

care services experienced by the residents of Barangay Quezon (Cabarawan) Bulan,

Sorsogon. The researchers used a basic interpretive qualitative research design. In

selecting participants that are involved in the study, a purposive or judgmental sampling

technique was utilized to correspond with the study’s objective. A total of twenty-five

participants who experienced the healthcare services of barangay health centers were

included. The instrument that was utilized in the study consisted of one-on-one

interviews in which the interviewer could modify the questions as the interview was

being conducted. The researchers performed narrative analysis on the coded data. The

residents express their perceptions by approving or disapproving of the healthcare

services in their barangay. Despite living in remote districts, residents frequently use

herbal remedies, assistance from healthcare facilities, traditional massage, and rarely

quack doctors for healthcare. Individuals' health suffers as a result of transportation

difficulties, financial difficulties, poor government, a lack of medical assistance, the

amount of medicines they receive, and the availability of medical facilities. As a result,

there is a greater need to address healthcare in such a way that the government in the

area is competent enough to provide proper medical assistance, medical facilities, a

sufficient amount of medicine, and the presence of health workers in their barangay, all

of which will help to improve the quality of medical services among residents. When

accomplished, this can give the residents of Barangay Quezon (Cabarawan) Bulan,

Sorosgon efficient and compassionate healthcare services in their barangay.
