ABSTRACT
The use of dry sludge and slag as an additive in construction material like paver block and concrete block respectively. For which it must be guaranteed that the resulting concrete and
block has the appropriate compressive strength. We subjected the concrete specimens to different additions of dry sludge in percentage as replacement of natural sand in order to evaluate
the compressive strength and compare them with the reference concrete specimen (not containing sludge / not containing treated sludge water). We subjected the concrete specimens to
different additions of slag in percentage as replacement of natural sand in order to evaluate the compressive strength and compare them with the reference concrete specimen (not
containing slag).

INTRODUCTION TESTS CARRIED OUT IMPLEMENTATION & FUTURE SCOPE

Sludge is an inevitable by-product of wastewater 1. Compressive strength test

scaled disposal of sludge is one of the major concerns of 3. Specific gravity reduction in cost of concrete.

of sludge disposal are ocean dumping, land filling & Using it as an admixture for precast construction
agricultural use. 5. Chemical test of waste water materials.
6. Absorption test of slag, sludge, aggregate
Therefore there is a need of alternative solutions to the By implementing this problem of sewage sludge disposal
