Nowadays, people are more and more inclined to live in large cities.

While in
the past, people tended to live mainly in rural areas. In the past, there were
advantages and disadvantages of living in small communities.
I believe there were three main benefits. Firstly, the inhabitants in small
communities would get more chances to have close connections, and their
relationships also became strong. For instances, working in the field needed
cooperation among many people to support each other, so it caused rasing
closed interaction among them. Next, means of transport in small regions were
not as many as in big cities so that would be fewer traffic accidents. Children
could play safely on the street. Finally, the limitation of the population made the
crime rate low. Because of this, you didn’t have to worry about murderers, and
this is also a safe place to raise children.
Living in small villages also has a lot of weaknesses. The biggest disadvantage
is the facilities. A big city could provide better hospitals and schools to its
residents. Another drawbacks of living in small region is finding a job. In a
remote region, it was hard to find a well-paid job. The final cons is
entertainment. People living in villages are not exposed to as many types of
entertainment as residents of large cities. For example, I live in Tan Thanh
town, and there is no cinema here, while in Ho Chi Minh City, there are many
cinemas.
In my opinion, I prefer the advantages to the disadvantages. We could form
strong relationships in small communities by communicating and working
together. Also, many neighbors were always surrounded, so you were never
alone.
