1. Growing up, you were exposed to a variety of pop cultures. List in bullet form the pop
culture in which you were raised.

I am a native Filipino who was born and raised in the Philippines. I have never been exposed
to any other cultures, at least none that I am aware of; I am as entrenched in Filipino culture
as someone can be, aside from our own. When I was growing up, I noticed the following
examples of diverse pop cultures: Always respect the elderly; "Mano po"; Manny Pacquiao;
Kris Aquino memes; Vice Ganda; Fidget Spinners; "Tabi-tabi po"; and Oro Plata Mata.

2. What pop culture icons/events are the most significant to you growing up, which you
treasure until today and why?

My response might not be as pertinent to Filipino culture, but there are still many
individuals, particularly in the LGBTQIA+ community, who paved the path for this movement
to grow in our society and for its message to be heard by the community at large. The rise,
or, to use a better term, the long overdue recognition and praise for our gay themed films
and television, which opened the door for BLseries to become a popular trend in our nation,
was and still is a significant pop culture event to me as a bisexual guy growing up in the
Philippines where the idea of the "third sex" is still not as accepted as it is in other countries.
