Guidelines for project of Family Law –II

Mandatory Format
• Cover Page
• Index
• Abbreviation
• Table of cases/ Statutes
• Bibliography
• Footnotes (Blue book 20th Edition)
Project based on Case analysis minimum 5 cases in selected area: Project will be
for 40 Marks.
Detail guidelines with bifurcation of Marks for each component.
a. Facts of case with relevant topic chose from old case to new case in sink (write in brief the
facts and no copy paste) ( 6 marks)
b. Issues involve in cases and judicial approach (8 Marks)
c. Decision and observation of court with its finding and interpretation of provisions and with
changing times.
(10 Marks)
d. Critical analysis of all cases and contemporary position of topic and relevancy (10 Marks)
e. Conclusion ( 3 Marks)
f. Suggestions and recommendation ( in points/individual and not in paragraph) (3 Marks)
Or

Paper publication in journal or book on the area of topic selected/allocated by the student. Students
have to provide the copy of publication with certificate and all details to me for being eligible for
Project marks.

i. If paper published in reputed journal which is listed and renowned /journal or as reputed
publisher published as book chapter, you will get full marks.
ii. If paper published in journal of law then 35 Marks.

DETAIL GUIDELINES FOR THE PROJECT WRITING WITH DEADLINE.

1. The project needs to be prepared using a standard text processing and must be printed in
black text (colour for images, if necessary) using theme font Times New Roman and font
size 12 for main content and for footnotes 10 and line spacing 1.5.
2. The project need to be printed on A4 size paper with margin 1.5 inches from left side and
(1) one inch from the other sides.
3. Project should be free from typographical errors and properly numbered in sequence.
4. The project must be properly aligned and justified, grammatically articulated and legible.
5. The Project must be minimum 4000 words and 6000 words maximum in the main contents
excluding your mandatory format.
6. All students will submit the project on 24th March, 2023 till 11.00 pm Soft copy on
blackboard. Deadline to be maintained.
Late submissions allowed with 3 marks deduction per day only upto three days, thereafter
no project will be accepted on any grounds whatsoever kindly note.
7. No repetition of the contents and the project should be concise on the allotted topic. Do not
change the topic without prior approval from me in writing through email.
8. While uploading the project on blackboard students have to make sure that they upload
correct document.
9. Plagiarism permitted only 20 % including name, college name, cover page etc kindly note.
Project above permitted limit will score less on quality of submission.
10. If the project is copy and pasted and above 50% plagiarism will score zero marks straight
way.
11. Kindly follow bluebook citation methodology of 2020.
