ing for a week. Fortunately, I was
able to work around this restric-
tion, as many of us COVID veter-
ans know, with access to ZOOM
and Microsoft Teams, cell phone,
text messages, and email.

I was able meet and talk with some of the MCPT
riders during my brief experience with demand-re-
sponse service.
Surprisingly, all of them were much younger than

the others were frequent customers who talked freely
with me and our driver. The driver has been with
MCPT for over a decade and seemed to know a lot
about my fellow riders. I could tell that he genuinely
likes his job as he treated the MCPT customers with
respect and courtesy, as well as a friendliness that
too often seems to be missing in post-COVID busi-
