ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਭੇਰੇ ਭਨ! ਉਸ ਩ਰਭਾਤਭਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਭ ਜਪ਩ਆ ਕਰ, ਜ੉ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੰ ਦਰ ਹੀ ਵੱਸ ਪਰਹਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ

ਬਾਈ! ਪਕਿ਩ਾਲ ਩ਿਬੂ ਨੇ (ਪਜਸ ਭਨੱਖ ਉਤੇ) ਪਕਰ਩ਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਗਰੂ ਨੇ ਆਤਭਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ

ਸੂਝ ਫਖ਼ਸੀ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਭਨ (ਨਾਭ ਜ਩ਣ ਦੀ ਕਦਰ) ਸਭਝ ਪਗਆ।ਰਹਾਉ।

ਹੇ ਬਾਈ! ਪਜਨਹਾਂ ਭਨੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਹਰਦੇ ਪਵਚ ਩ਰਭਾਤਭਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਭ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੱਸਦਾ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਾਂ ਨੂੰ

ਹਰੀ ਫਾਂਝ ਹੀ ਕਰ ਪਦਆ ਕਰੇ (ਤਾਂ ਚੰ ਗਾ ਹੈ, ਪਕਉਂਪਕ) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਹਪਰ-ਨਾਭ ਤੋਂ ਸੰ ਞਾ

ਰਪਹੰ ਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਨਾਭ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਂਜੇ ਹੀ ਤਰੇ ਪਪਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ, ਉਹ ਕੁਝ ਕੁਝ ਕੇ ਖ਼ਆਰ ਹ੉ ਹ੉ ਕੇ

ਆਤਭਕ ਭ੊ਤ ਸਹੇੜਦੇ ਰਪਹੰ ਦੇ ਹਨ।੧।

ਹੇ ਬਾਈ! ਜਗਤ ਪਵਚ ਩ਰਭਾਤਭਾ ਦੀ ਪਸਫ਼ਪਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਹੀ ਸਬ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚਾ ਦਰਜਾ ਹੈ, (਩ਰ)

਩ਰਭਾਤਭਾ ਗਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ (ਹੀ) ਪਭਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਬਾਈ! ਭੈਂ ਆ਩ਣੇ ਗਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਕਰਫਾਨ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਪਜਸ

ਨੇ ਭੇਰੇ ਅੰ ਦਰ ਹੀ ਗੱਝੇ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਩ਰਭਾਤਭਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਭ ਩ਰਗਟ ਕਰ ਪਦੱਤਾ।੨।

ਹੇ ਬਾਈ! ਪਜਸ ਭਨੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੇ ਬਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗਰੂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਩ਿਾ਩ਤ ਹੰ ਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਩ਾ਩

ਦੂਰ ਹ੉ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਜਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡਾ ਪਸਆਣਾ ਤੇ ਸਾਹ ਗਰੂ ਪਭਲ ਪ਩ਆ, ਗਰੂ ਨੇ ਩ਰਭਾਤਭਾ ਦੇ

ਫਹਤੇ ਗਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਂਝੀਵਾਲ ਫਣਾ ਪਦੱਤਾ।੩।

ਹੇ ਬਾਈ! ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਩ਿਬੂ ਨੇ ਪਜਨਹਾਂ ਭਨੱਖਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਪਕਰ਩ਾ ਕੀਤੀ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਆ਩ਣੇ ਭਨ ਪਵਚ

ਪਹਰਦੇ ਪਵਚ ਩ਰਭਾਤਭਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਭ ਪਟਕਾ ਪਲਆ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-ਹੇ ਬਾਈ) ਧਰਭਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਦਰ

ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਭਨੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ (ਕੀਤੇ ਕਰਭਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੇ ਖੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ) ਕਾਗ਼ਜ਼ ਩ਾੜ ਪਦੱਤੇ ਗਏ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਦਾ

ਲੇ ਖਾ ਪਨੱਫੜ ਪਗਆ।੪।੫।
 JAITSREE, FOURTH MEHL:
The Lord’s Name does not abide within their hearts — their mothers

should have been sterile. These bodies wander around, forlorn and

abandoned, without the Name; their lives waste away, and they die,

crying out in pain. ||1|| O my mind, chant the Name of the Lord, the

Lord within you. The Merciful Lord God, Har, Har, has showered me

with His Mercy; the Guru has imparted spiritual wisdom to me, and

my mind has been instructed. || Pause|| In this Dark Age of Kali Yuga,

the Kirtan of the Lord’s Praise brings the most noble and exalted

status; the Lord is found through the True Guru. I am a sacrifice to my

True Guru, who has revealed the Lord’s hidden Name to me. ||2|| By

great good fortune, I obtained the Blessed Vision of the Darshan of

the Holy; it removes all stains of sin. I have found the True Guru, the

great, all-knowing King; He has shared with me the many Glorious

Virtues of the Lord. ||3||
