EYES AND FACE

Craft Felt Eyes (Easiest Method)

Cut out the shapes seen in

the photos from red,
white, and black craft
felt. Glue them to the side
of the head where you
made the depressions.
Use your yarn needle and
black yarn to embroider a
mouth.

Needle Felt Eyes Guide

You will need a felting needle and roving

wool in Black, Red and White.

Start by taking a long thin strip of the black

roving wool. Give it a twist to pull in and
condense the fibers a bit. Use your felting 9
needle to apply the roving wool to the
surface of the amigurumi and make an
outline of the eyes. First the outer black
outline, then the white. (Tip: You can use a
cut out of paper or felt to use as a template
to trace.)
Then fill in the eyes completely with white
roving wool and the outer corners with
black.

Outline the iris with red roving wool, then fill

them in with the red wool. 10
Outline the pupils with black roving wool 1
and fill them on, then make small highlights
with white wool on top of the pupil. 3

Mouth and Nostrils

You can form the mouth and nostrils by using

a yarn needle with black yarn and embroider
it

-or-

Use a felting needle with black roving wool

and felt the mouth/nostrils on. Use finished
photos for reference.

Front Teeth

Cut out two tiny triangles from white felt and

glue or felt them to the front of the face as
shown in the pictures to the right.
