UCU 104: INTRODUCTION TO ENTREPRENEURSHIP
COURSE OUTLINE

Course Purpose:
The course will introduce the student to entrepreneurship, cultivate positive attitudes towards self-
employment and provide skills and knowledge necessary for starting business enterprise.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, the learner will able to:
1. Explain importance of self-employment to the economy
2. Identify sources of business ideas
3. Identify sources of business finance
4. Explain legal requirements in starting a business
5. Prepare a business plan
