illycaffè renews its collaboration with the Biennale Arte to

celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the illy Art Collection

The Royal Gardens of Venice will soon exhibit the most iconic pieces of illy’s Art Collections
and will be home to the launch of the latest Art Collection, dedicated to the
59th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia

Trieste – Venice, February 2nd, 2022. illycaffè continues to support La Biennale di Venezia. This
year, the 59th International Art Exhibition is titled “The Milk of Dreams” and will be curated by
Cecilia Alemani.

A cup of illy coffee represents the interconnectedness of flavour, beauty, and sustainability. The
Italian coffee company conveys this beauty through its deep ties with contemporary art and will
continue to celebrate this on the occasion of the Biennale Arte 2022, with an exhibition at the Royal
Gardens from April 23rd to the November 27th, 2022. This year’s exhibition will showcase the key
moments in the 30-year history of the illy Art Collection, the iconic cups that transformed an
everyday object into a blank canvas featuring the work of internationally renowned artists.

The exhibition will be accompanied by a series of events in which the experiences of leading
contemporary artists will feature alongside those of the Master of Quality, an expression of the
coming together of the good and the beautiful, which is one of the core sentiments of the illy brand.

“Our collaboration with the International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia is now in its 11th
year – says Andrea Illy, Chairman of illycaffè – a partnership that represents one of the core
collaborations for illycaffè in our search for beauty, which we see as embracing all that helps culture
and the soul, and thus, as Plato would have pointed out, can only be good”.

The 59th International Art Exhibition will be celebrated with a new illy Art Collection designed by
artists selected by the curator among those who exhibit their work at the Biennale Arte this year.
