CHAPTER I
A. Introduction
Language is a tool for us to communicate with people around us, language makes
it easier for us to be able to understand the intentions and goals that someone will do.
English is a foreign language that is often used by people in western countries. English
itself. Is an International language, the language that will be used Internationally. Set so
that everyone can easily communicate even though they are different countries.
Currently the country is developing very rapidly, starting from industry to
technology that currently exist. English plays a very dominant role in the current era
because indirectly in this industrial revolution era, we will always interact with foreign
investors. The industrial revolution is currently an interesting discussion because in this
modern era all Indonesian are required to be skilled in English.

C. Purpose of writing
The purpose of this article is to provide an understanding of the importance of
everyone understanding and learning English in the current era of technology 4.0. In an
increasingly advanced era, technology is increasingly developing, then everyone's
thinking should also be able to develop according to the times. if we can not keep up with
our thinking then we will only be behind we will not develop. therefore we must be able
to follow without leaving the existing good habits.
 The following does not mean turning away, we just need to follow it without
leaving the existing good habits. when we can open our minds we will find it easier to
accept all forms of learning. because everything starts with the personal thoughts of each
person. If you think it is difficult it will be difficult, if you think it is easy it will be easy
to do.

CHAPTER II
Language is a communal tool for us to communicate with society. In the industrial
era 4.0, English is a necessary and important thing to master, the development of science
and technology that has developed rapidly makes some people have to be able to master
English. not some people maybe everyone should be able to use English so as not to be
left behind with others. actually, English has been taught since elementary school. since
we were in elementary school we have started to know English we have studied English
but it is not so optimized. whereas English should be optimized to prepare for the
advancement of science and technology in the future.
This statement was inversely proportional to the government’s policy of
eliminating English from elementary school student material in the 2013 curriculum.
Many regretted that there was a plant to eliminate English material in elementary school
education. Because basically if we learn from elementary school it will be easier to
continue in high school.
The importance of learning English because English is the language of
technology, the language of business between non-native speakers of English, the
language of the Olympics and the language of international conferences (Rintaningrum,
2015). Language is one of the important things for now because in the era of the industrial
revolution, all technology is developing very rapidly by mastering foreign languages
which will make it easier for us to compete in the current era. By mastering the English
language will support our lives in these sophisticated times.
In the current era where technology has developed very rapidly what is needed is
our ability to speak English (Rintaningrum, 2016). But has it been done at this time, in an
era where English is supposed to be needed, there are many pros and cons. Especially in
Indonesia itself, it is difficult to develop English in Indonesi. There are so many factors
that influence.
 For some people it feels very difficult to learn English. What makes English so
difficult? One of them may be because the thoughts of each person who not a little think
that English is only a complement that does not need to be studied properly. Even though
in this technological era everything is very sophisticated and everything is dominated by
the English language, we as technology user should be able to position ourselves so as
not to be left far behind with several countries out there.
Often underestimating international languages because they consider their own
language and regional languages more important is also one of the reasons is difficult to
learn English, such closed thinking is what makes people often underestimate English
indeed, we as Indonesians must also preserve culture and preserve the diversity of
languages in Indonesia. However, we also have nothing to lose if we don’t become
backward people in the times.
English has actually been taught since we entered elementary school, and at all
school levels there must be English lessons. This is intended to prepare millennial
generation to face the changing times. Therefore, English is an important thing to master.
But in fact it is not easy to learn it for some student to be able learn it. The reasons that
some student often complain about are unfamiliar vocabulary, the large number of words
that must be memorized, the pronunciation that is different from the pronunciation that is
usually done every day, and the grammar in English is good and correct.
Trouble and obstacles must be on when you want to realize the goals, it is natural
and scientific. A baby will not immediately be able to speak like an adult but must go
through various processes and phases that are not free of obstacles, as is the case in
learning science, especially English (Saidna Zulfiqar bin Tahir, 2011). Then is there the
right way to be able to understand English, especially English is important in this
industrial 4.0 era, of course, there is. From the factors above, we can analyze what caused
the difficulty. If there is a difficulty, of course, there is also a solution for every difficulty.
Maybe one solution that must be done is to change the mindset related to the use of
English. We must be able to make our brains able to accept new material and vocabulary,
just like a baby who is learning to speak.
One of the methods of learning English is good listening. By listening to people
speaking English we will begin to get used to words that are foreign to us, the brain will
start to stimulate strange things and will store them, listening to music can also be
classified as fun in learning English. Watching films in English, by seeing people who
are speaking English, we will understand a little about the expressions made by players
when they say a word. Over time we will understand the function and meaning of the
word. After that start communicating little by little using English, babies who initially
learn to speak will definitely not be as clean and clear as to when adults talk. Therefore,
there is no need to hesitate and feel free to use English. Just think of yourself as a baby
who is learning to speak.
As stated above, how to learn on your own is actually how we get used to new
things. Therefore, learning English has been started at an early age. One of the clear
evidence that learning English is very important, one of which is in online masses like
this. As we know now everything is done online, everything is done with technology
because we cannot meet face to face. When online we are encouraged to create various
kinds of accounts, which on average use English. We are required to understand
information from several blogs that use English.

CHAPTER III
The conclusion from this discussion is that we as the young generation must be
ready in whatever circumstances we face, we must be able to compete with other countries
out there. Be a young man who accepts all forms of change, is smart in accepting
technology. Mastery of English in the industrial era 4.0 is very important so that we are
not left behind with the demands of the times. If we don't learn then who will study for
future generations. It is important for us to be able to master English in the industrial era
4.0 because English is an international language used to communicate with foreigners.
Because in the future we will work with other companies. English was chosen as the
international language because it was considered relatively easy and some countries used
English as their daily language.
