Mummering Masks
Follow these instructions to make your own Mummering Mask.
What you will need:
„„ mask templates
„„ scissors
„„ glue or sticky tape
„„ hole punch
„„ coloured pencils or Textas
„„ any items you wish to use to decorate mask
„„ string, ribbon or elastic.
What to do:
1. C olour or decorate the templates as you wish (this is much
easier before you cut it out and stick it together).
2. Cut out each of the template pieces.
3. Use glue or sticky tape to attach them to each other as
shown.
4. You can leave the mouth piece off if you want to make a two
piece mask.
5. Cut out and attach a nose piece, ears or moustache if you
want to add them to your mask.
6. Use a hole punch to make a hole in each side of the mask.
7. Tie a piece of string, ribbon or elastic through the holes so
you can wear the mask.
