Importance of effective resource management for organisation success

Resource management appears to be crucial part for normal organisational


functioning in private and public sector as well. A good manager should achieve
envisaged goal with effective use of resources, the later includes material, human and
fiscal components together. After owning abovementioned kinds of resources, manager
should organize them properly, create coherent structure of organization with human
resource and provide them with material and fiscal resources in order to fulfill concrete
objectives, set according to plan.
Regardless of specific role of each type of resources, fiscal one tends to be
the main part, as a fuel for organisation functioning, inasmuch as without finances one
can neither buy materials, nor pay salary to staff. Thus, economic and financial resource
always remain essential part of management process too. While having enough finances,
it is important to properly distribute duties/responsibilities among group members,
provide them with necessary materials. However, besides carrying out those activities,
proper planning plays quite important role for organisational success and first step for
robust planning is evnironmental estimation. Plethora of likewise approaches are known,
though PESTLE and SWOT, as well as stakeholder anaylsis are relevant for organisational
resource mangement. While discussing PESTLE analysis, following criterias ought to be
taken into account: Political environment, Economic situation, Social factors,
Technologies, Legal aspect and Ecological characteristics. SWOT analysis can be used as
additional analytical tool or in combination with another approach to analyze what are
the strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for different directions. In case of
SWOT, Strength and Weaknesses are internal factors, while Opportunities and Costs are
tied to external ones as well, because with analysis of our Strength and Weaknesses and
that of our opponents, it would be easier to detect opportunities and threats.
Overall, it can be said, that the role of effective resource
management for organisation success is critically important, as managerial duty unites
different types of ressources, their proper distribution, creation of organisational structure
and what is the most decisive, “ proper translation of Stakeholders’ demands to
organizational strategy and vice versa” in order to attain planned aim.
