4.3.1 Offset Setting

Offset Setting This procedure allows to set the offset on the dot matrix displays. The offset value is shown
on the display and is the value from which the sequence will start. If for example, the
chosen offset value is “-3”, the sequence of the gray inputs will be: -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, etc.

If the display programming involves letters, it has to be done after setting the offset.
Otherwise they will be wiped out by the offset.

No Step
1 Connect and switch on the display.
2 Simultaneously push the PROGRAM and the ADVANCE buttons for at least
3 seconds: The display will show “PD” (default programming). When the buttons
are released the display will show “-0”.
3 Push the ADVANCE button to select the required offset value (range: “-0” to “-9”).
4 Push the PROGRAM button to end the procedure.

4.3.2 Characters / Symbols Setting

Characters /
Symbols Setting No Step
1 Connect and switch on the display.
2 If connected to the elevator, move the car to the landing at which the indication
has to be programmed. Otherwise, program the indication using the GRAY code
(see “Gray Code Table”).

The current setting will be shown.

Pushing the ADVANCE button for more than three seconds causes the display to scroll
through the list of characters and symbols. On reaching the end of the list, the scrolling
starts over the beginning.

3 Push the PROGRAM button for at least 3 seconds (the display will show 00).
When the PROGRAM button is released the display will show 0 on the ten-
segment whereas the unit-segment will blank.
4 Push the ADVANCE button to select the type of visualization (see table
“Characters/Symbols that can be shown”).
5 Push the PROGRAM button to go to the visualization of the units (the unit digit
will show 0).
6 Push the ADVANCE button to select the type of visualization.
7 Push the PROGRAM to end the setting (the display will switch off for a moment
to confirm the new setting).
8 To program other inputs repeat the procedure from step 2.
