How can we stop the spread of the fake news?

With so much free information online, it's easy to get distracted by all the false material
polluting the web.
Fact check before you share.Take extra time to look over the source, or read article in full to make sure
that the little accurately reflects the content and that the site is reputable.By researching and by
checking reliable sources

I can only avoid fake news if I make sure that its source is correct and reliable.
Comparison of also collected details in other fields. Will not send information that is said
especially if it is not true and contains lies. Also, it will help not to just believe
immediately and check the reliable post on another page first to avoid getting fake
news. Attach it with persistence in the analysis so that we understand if the information
we got is correct.(Josa)

we are also the ones who spread fake news, because of its source on the internet,
instead of knowing the real news, we believe more in the news we see on social media.

Fake news can only be avoided by making sure that its sources are correct.

Avoid spreading Misinformation

Stop! And fact-check before you share. Practice analytical skills and develop a
critical mind.

search and find out what others are saying about them. This will help you
determine the accuracy of the information.

How do we know if the information is correct?(Kerby)
Reliable information must come from dependable sources. According to UGA
Libraries, a reliable source will provide a “thorough, well-reasoned theory,
argument, etc. based on strong evidence.” Widely credible sources include:
Scholarly, peer-reviewed articles and books.
 > AUTHORITY-who is the author and where did the item originate? Check on the
individual, company or institution, to see where their biases (personal
inclinations/favouritisms) are. Is the author's name listed? What are their
credentials that make them an expert in the topic?

 > Accuracy - information that is accurate and free from errors is considered more
reliable. One or two typos are ok but information that is presented in a sloppy
manner with too many spelling or grammatical mistakes comes across as
unprofessional.

 > Objectivity - check to see if the information is presented with the least amount
of prejudice or personal bias. Is it an opinion or is it trying to sell you something?
 > Timeliness - when was the information first published? Is the content you are
looking at up-to- date, or the website updated regularly, or is it something that is
old made to look like new information?
