I. Preliminaries
a. Prayer
Kindly stand up and let’s have our
prayer.
Girls can you lead the prayer? In the name of the father, the son,
the holy spirit... Amen.

f. Review
What was our topic yesterday? Yes,
Yeshin?

Kiesha what is congruent polygon?

Okay, Very good.

Is this picture congruent or not?

Why is it not congruent?

Correct! Very good.

What about this one?

Great job! It is congruent because it has

the same sides and angles.

Now since you already know the

congruent polygons we are going to
proceed to our topic.

II. LESSON PROPER

A. Activity
 Motivation
CONCENTRATE GAME The pupils that chosen will answer:
a) Teachers prepares 12 cards
consecutively numbered. b) Teacher
divides the class into 2 groups. a. Triangle
c) A student from a group chooses 2 b. Square
numbers, say 1 and 9. c. Decagon
d)Teacher opens the number cards and d. Trapezoid
finds out if the drawing word match. If e. Octagon
they match, another student from the
same group chooses another pair of
numbers and so on.
e) If the contents of the numbers don't
match, the teacher flips the cards again to
show the numbers (not the word or

correctly matched pairs wins.

7. Sphere 4.

6. Pyramid 12.

10. Cone 9.

B. Analysis
Activity
(The teacher will play a video)
1) Introduce the different spatial figures.
Let the pupils describe the characteristics of
each figure.
2) Ask what is common among all the spatial
figures?
3) Present a paper robot whose parts are
made3 up of spatial figures.
4) Ask the pupils to identify the spatial figures
represented by each part completing the chart
below.
Pupils will answer:
- Cube
Parts of the robots body Spatial Figures - Rectangular Prism
Head presented - Cylinder
Body Example: cube - Rectangular Prism
Arms Rectangular - Cylinder
Legs Prism - Sphere (inside)
Feet - Cylinder

shapes ma’am.

With those video and activity what do you

think is our topic for today? JB?
Correct! Our topic is all about spatial shapes or
solid figures.
C. Abstraction

SOLID FIGURES

What is Spatial Figure? Kindly read what is Spatial figure is a three

figure.
Some examples of spatial figures include
cubes, cylinders, cones, prisms, pyramids,
spheres and rectangular prisms.

Can you name any objects that resemble to

the following Spatial Figures shown on the
picture? Yeshin?
Cubes Box
Cylinders Can
Cones Ice cream cone
Pyramids Tent
Spheres Ball
Rectangular prisms. Book

Excellent answer! So all of those are example

object that mentioned by Yeshin are just
representations of solid figures.

Have you noticed that in polygons there is only

one face are showing because it is only flat.
While in solid figures they have a lot of faces.

For example how many faces cube have? 6 faces po ma’am.

Prince?

Very good! It has 6 faces. Same with

Rectangular prism.
Yes po ma’am.
Okay class! Do you understand our lesson
today? None po ma’am.
Do you have any questions?
D. Application
(The activity will be pairs)
Direction: Pupils will find a partner, they need
to answer the following activities.

Identify the spatial figure represented by the 1. sphere

following: 2. sphere
1) ball ______ 3) funnel ______ 3. cone
2) globe _______ 4) test tube _______ 4. cylinder
5) tent ______ 6) dice ______ 5. cube

Give 5 objects that are models of the following

spatial figures:
( It will depends on the pupils
1) cone 3) cube
answer)
2) cylinder 4) prism
5) sphere

Group 1: The Fox

& The Grapes

One afternoon
a fox was walking
through the forest
and spotted a
bunch
of grapes hanging
from over a lofty
branch.
<Just the thing
to quench my
thirst,= he
thought.
Taking a few
steps back, the fox
jumped and just
missed the
hanging
grapes. Again the
fox took a few
paces
back and tried to
reach them but
still
failed.
Finally, giving
up, the fox turned
up
his nose and said,
<They’re probably
sour anyway,=
and proceeded to
walk
away
III. Evaluation
