SERIES LIQUID COOLERS
2 INSTALLATION 6 TROUBLESHOOTING
1. 1 Applications
Environment temp.(℃)
widely applied for CNC aggregate
machining centers, various
machining equipment, such as high
precision lathes, grinding machines,
Temp. range
sawing machines, etc., and can be applicable
applied for hydraulic machineries
and special machineries as well.
1.2 Applicable temperature range
The series liquid coolers are
designed to operate under a temperature Inlet oil temp.(℃)
range given in fig.1, and can’t be used ig.1 Applicable temp range for the Oil Cooler
under conditions where the temperature is
out of the given range. The environment temperature in this manual means room temperature.
1.3 Applicable liquids
The series liquid coolers are only applicable for cooling liquid, hydraulic liquid, grinding liquid,
lubricating liquid and cutting liquid, and are not applicable for following liquids:
a. Water and water soluble liquids (except LO/W-C type);
b. Flammable hydraulic liquid;
c. Fuels, such as gasoline, etc.
d. Liquids of medicines or foods;
e. Any kinds of poisonous or corrosive liquids.
1.4 Notes on safety
1.4.1 Please do cut off the power during routine service, maintenance and examination.
1.4.2 When the cooler needs to be welded,
a. Please remove the cooling system from the main body and drain the liquid completely from
the cooler.
b. Please conduct repairing in a well ventilated place where there is no danger of fire and the
discharge of refrigerant will not affect the surrounding persons.
c. Welding process should observe relevant safety regulations and provisions, and care should be
taken so as to prevent other parts or components from being burnt.
d. Welding should be conducted by personnel from the manufacturer or by qualified special
professionals.
2 Installation
2.1 Moving
During the moving of the unit, care should be taken to prevent it from being damaged due to
impact from external force or excessive bumping, and prevent it from being slant and upside down.
For above reasons, it is recommended to store the original packing. During the lifting, the center of
gravity should be controlled carefully.
2.2 Environment requirement for the place of installation
2.2.1 The cooling unit should be horizontally installed in a well ventilated, dry place and far from
dust and liquid fog. The air inlet and outlet ports should be at least 1m from the walls and other
objects, and necessary service clearance should be kept.
2.2.2 There should be no corrosive, flammable and explosive gas around the unit; and near the
installation spot, there should be no high temperature heating source and other heating objects. Besides,
2.2.3 The installation spot should be decided by the customers according to type and model of the
unit selected. The structure of the installation spot should be strong enough to endure the weight of the

2.6 Power supply connections
Power supply connecting should be conducted according to the electrical connection diagram and in
observance of relevant electrical regulations and specifications.
2.6.1 Power supply and the fuses should conform to requirements and specifications of the instruction
manual and of the product nameplate. Operation voltage fluctuation of ±10% is permissible.
a. For model LO/W(R)-15~LO/W(R)35and LO/W-C series coolers, 3-phase 5-line power supply
system (3N~380V 50Hz) with neutral line (zero line ) shall be adopted. If there is no neutral line on
the power board and it is needed to use a grounding line instead, set an exclusive line as grounding
line, the resistance of which shall be smaller than 4Ω and the section area of which shall be greater
than 6 mm2, and in this case, the leaking protection switch shouldn’t be used in the circuit.
b. For model LO/W(R)-50~LO/W(R)-600 series coolers, 3-phase 4-line power supply system (3P~
50Hz /380V) shall be adopted, and the grounding line should be well earthed.
c. For model LO/W(R)-15~LO/W(R)35 and LO/W-C series coolers, if 3-phase 5-line power supply
system (3N~380V 50Hz) is to be adopted, remove the covering plate of the cooler in advance, find
the connection terminal row, remove the jump between terminals marked “PE” an “N” on the rows.
2.6.2 The section area of power supply lines shall meet the requirement of the electrical diagram. The
momentary starting current of the compressor is 5~10 times of the rated operating current. The
power supply shall meet the current requirements; otherwise, the liquid cooler will not start
normally.
2.6.3 The power supply circuit shall be equipped with an air-switch or breaker (fuse) independently, the
specifications of which shall match the current value on the nameplate.
2.6.4 It is not allowed to discretionally change the electrical connections inside the control cabinet, and it
is forbidden to close the A.C. contactors coercively.

3.7 Passive contactors
The electrical control system features a function of outputting by a group of passive contactors, which
comprises the closing contactors of the relays. When the liquid cooler works normally, the output
contactors are engaged; and when the liquid cooler
