CONSTRUCTION SAFETY PROGRAM/SAFETY MANUAL AND PROCEDURES

SAFETY PRECAUTION

1. The Contractor is responsible for the safety of all persons engaged in the execution of works.

2. The Contractor, their sub-contractors and all persons employed by them are to comply in every
respect with the provisions of any relevant statutory requirements as may be considered applicable
to the Works or any temporary works. In particular, when working with drains and sewers, the
Contractor is to observe adequate safe working procedures.

1. The Contractor is to provide and enforce the wearing of efficient helmets, and where necessary, face
masks, eye goggles, ear protectors, safety harnesses and other personal protection equipment for
all personnel. If required by the Project Manager the Contractor shall submit for approval detailed
proposals for emergency procedures and safety regulations.

SECURITY

ENTRANCE CONTROL

Control of all persons entering and leaving the project site shall be provided by the Contractor's own
personnel during the construction period on-site. The Contractor shall exclude from the site personnel not
properly identified. The Contractor shall:

A. Maintain a current list of accredited persons and submit a copy of the list to the Construction
Manager.
B. Require display of proper identification by each person.

C. Require personnel to sign in upon entering the site and to sign out when leaving.

D. The Contractor will be responsible for recompensing the Owner for acts of vandalism, stolen valuables or any
damage to the site by intruders.

SITE SECURITY

A. The Contractor is responsible for the security of all personnel, equipment, tools, vehicles, field offices, sheds and
employees facilities during the active construction period.

B. The Contractor shall submit to the Construction Manager a site safety plan to ensure that safety procedures are
implemented at the site. The Contractor shall see to it that all the following information have been
given to the workers:

a. The nearest hospital route


b. Locations of fire extinguishers and fire stations
c. Provisions for first aid treatment for injured workers
d. Safety to workers against physical hazards
e. Fire prevention program
f. Basic rules of personal safety and conduct
g. Standard operating procedures given to workers on the site safety
