A Digital Dilemma

I have experienced a digital dilemma with my students. Some students are so sleepy on Monday
after the weekend. They may take a nap during the break. However, one boy in his class took
some of his classmates’ pictures and post on social media and group chat in their class without
permission. That results other students notice the pictures.

I’m going to use “take a stand” thinking routine to help students reflect on the dilemma. Firstly,I
will ask students to reflect their own opinions. How do they think they post others’ pictures on
social media or group chat without permission. Secondly, they could listen closely carefully to
their classmates in a group discussion or chat. Thirdly, they could look again their original stances.
What they thought before and what they think now. They could change some of their
perspectives. Lastly, they could connect to their life and what they will do when they are faced
the situation in their life.
