AN IDEA FOR MY OWN APPLICATION

Start up small businesses only rely on their workers most of the time. They only have two
to five workers (depending on how big their businesses are) for their physical shop or store. What
I have noticed is that some of the small businesses here in Butuan City does not have a checkout
counter or cashier counter machine.
Having a checkout counter or cashier counter machine is very helpful for any kind of small
businesses. This will help the work of the employees much easier than taking the orders manually
from the customer. It is time efficient and easy to execute once it is already been learned.
According to Frank Foxall, “RPA is designed to reduce the burden of repetitive tasks on
employees. But rather than eliminating jobs, it is actually more likely to enhance the work of
employees”. The application that I am going to create in order to help small businesses with this
kind of problem is an application that is for the cashier counter but it has database where it can
store and gather data from the daily sales. Imagine a cashier counter where it can do analyzation
from the gathered data (business intelligence). Also, it can perform data science for future
purposes like innovation (data analytics). This is a huge step for their business.

The design and the process are not that kind of tough so that it is easy to use by the employees.
Also, the UI of the application is comprehensible.
 The exciting feature about this application is that it can do monthly sale analysis as well
as yearly sale analysis. This will track the products on how are they performing, for example, a
donut store wanted to know which flavor their going to change, innovate or eliminate. From the
data that was gathered daily from the application, they can review and easily know what flavor
of donut they are going to change, innovate or eliminate. This application has the power of AI to
suggest possible answers based on basic problems (like product or sales) on the small businesses.
