Hello, My name is Zeeshan Shaukat, I want to study Bachelor's in Information Technology.

I have done
my O-levels and A levels in computer science, since then I have developed interest in Information
Technology. The reason I want to pursue Information Technology instead of computer science is due to
the fact that I am more interested in hands on experience and gain skills to use in relevant industry of
technology, I am always passionate about becoming a software engineer to solve the real world
problems, at the stage of my A levels and O levels, I collaborated with beginners programmers on
Discord who were also at the stage of learning programming, we solved problems with our skills that we
were learning. As I said before I want to gain practical knowledge and use it in the industry, I plan to
work full time in my software engineering industry after my Bachelor's studies. My main goal is to
operate a startup and bring a new solution to a problem, I believe there are many gaps in the software
industry that can be filled, so my target is to do that exact thing. It is best for me to study Bachelor's in
information technology from which I can become a skillful person and focus on the main goal.

So as for my academic background I have studied till 6th grade in Mahatma Garding School in Indonesia,
then moved back to Pakistan where I completed my O levels in Lahore Grammar School. During my time
in Lahore Grammar School I obtained 1st position in the class in 8th grade.Currently doing my A levels in
my 2nd year, in Roots melliniem and will finish it in August 2023. I joined my school's MUN event in my
O levels and won in the debate. I earned many medals and certificates in sports events in Lahore
Grammar School for example in football, karate and running. I have also earned certificates for my
science and computer projects, one of my best projects that I made in science was a proximity sensor
which could detect objects and make beep sound and show how far the object is.

With my academic achievements I also have my own personal work experience in various fields of
computing that I have been doing. The first work experience I want to talk about is my graphic designing
journey, this was the only field that first attracted me because I was able to do graphical designs and
wanted to show my talent, so I did freelancing with 2 of my friends where we just normally reach out to
clients on Facebook and design simple projects they gave us. Apparently I had to leave graphic designing
because it further inspired me to make Websites and Applications. This interest developed due to the
reason I was studying computer science and doing graphic design together which combined and gave
me an idea of making web pages and applications that can provide real world solutions. So I started my
journey in web development training, I learned a lot from it and tried to make websites but I failed to do
so because of lack of training but only managed to make static web pages. It was worth it after all
because now I know how websites are made and how they work in the backend, the basic knowledge of
HTML, CSS and JavaScript showed me how it works in frontend and PHP and mongoDB showed me the
backend of the website.

Information Technology has many things that it can teach me to gain complete control of my skills that I
am trying to gain. Website and application development is just a little part of making programs, I want to
learn to manage them and learn their structure, so I believe information technology has all of it for me
to cover, the object oriented programming (OOP), computer administration, server management,
networks and so on. Ultimately technical skills are what I am aiming for so that in order to make real
world applications and programs I need technical skills to make them. Of course the Information
Technology course will give me all these technical expertise, the knowledge that I am still lacking and the
environment to learn is really important for me.This way I will be able to meet people with the same
interests and with the same goals I can work on projects with them.

I want to open my own startup in my career and expand it to solve real world problems. First my aim is
to join big companies like Google, Facebook and Twitter and so on, to get more advanced work
experience and upgrade my profile as a software engineer, then I want to start my own startup and
apply the knowledge and skills I got so far. The ultimate goal is my own startup to make a change in my
society in this developing world.

I am choosing this university for my Bachelor's in information technology because I believe I will be
getting high quality education here. And the curriculum for my IT degree in this university is really well
structured and teaches all the skills I need. In all my research I have seen this university has quite
impressive research work done by professors and the students. I want to join this prestigious university
because I believe I can become someone here in this university who can bring change and want to join
the research work that might be a chance for me to do it. According to my skills and knowledge I have
gained until now, I want to apply them practically here in this university.

There is nothing in this world a person cannot do, I want to be that person, I want to face challenges and
solve them. After all programmers always have to solve problems. This is a must for me to face
challenges and complete them. There will always be a way a person can come up with something to
tackle a problem that's why I am always ready to face them during my studies, excuses should not be in
our dictionaries. I have come this far in my experience in computer science and some technical skills I
don't believe that I will be unsuccessful, I strongly believe I will be successful in this field of study, it's
nothing new that I am studying, everyone has passed through this and I will too. And lastly bring a big
change in my industry where I will solve new and existing problems of the world.
