9
What is It

In identifying the multiples of a number, you need to master and

memorize the multiples of numbers up to 100. You need to practice
skip counting numbers.

Just add 6 to every sum to get the

Example the multiples of 6 multiples or do the Continuous
Addition
6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36….
+6 +6 +6

The multiples of any number are found by taking the product of any

counting number and that given  number. For example, to find the
multiples of 3, multiply 3 by 1, 3 by 2, 3 by 3, and so on. To find the
multiples of 5, multiply 5 by 1, 5 by 2, 5 by 3, and so on.

Example: 1. Find the multiples of 6

6 x 1 = 6 1st multiple of 6
6 x 2 = 12 2nd multiple of 6
6 x 3= 18 3rd multiple of 6
6 x 4 = 24 4th multiple of 6
and so on

2. Find the 8th multiple of 12

12 x 8 = 96
12, 24, 36, 48, 60, 72, 84, 96

3. Find the 12th multiple of 4

4 x 12 = 48
4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36, 40, 44, 48

10
What’s More

Write the first 5 multiple of the given number.

1. 8 = _____, _____, _____, _____, _____

2. 13 = _____, _____, _____, _____, _____
3. 15 = _____, _____, _____, _____, _____
4. 30 = _____, _____, _____, _____, _____
5. 23 = _____, _____, _____, _____, _____

What I Have Learned

Remember:

In identifying the multiples of a number, you should master skip

counting numbers and the concept of adding numbers using
continuous addition.

List all the first 5 multiples of the following numbers.

1. 8 ___________________________

2. 21 ___________________________

3. 27 ___________________________

4. 33 ___________________________
