B. PERFORMANCE STANDARD The learners develop a family emergency preparedness plan
to guide them on what to do before, during and after a fire
incident.

C. LEARNING COMPETENCIES 1. Identify and define the different causes of fire.


2. Understand and determine the difference between natural
and human made cause of fire.
3. Be Observant at all times to avoid natural and human
made cause of fire.
4. Apply and suggest ways to prevent man-made cause of
fire.

D. SPECIFIC LEARNING At the end of 1hour lesson presentation the students will be
OUTCOMES able to:
Knowledge Enumerate the natural and man-made cause of fire.
Skills Recognize the difference between natural and man-made
causes of fire.
Attitude Demonstrate the different ways of preventing and
extinguishing fires.

A. Activity  Form a group and allow them to work together in order


for them accomplish their assign task. Each Group
chooses one topic from the following:

 Natural Cause of Fire


 Human Made Cause of Fire
 Different Ways of Preventing and Extinguishing
Fires.

 Present their activity to the class.

B. Analysis After the activity, the students should be able to analyze how
they can prevent man-made cause of fire?

fire? Why is it Important to recognize?
What is the most common cause of building fires in the
Philippines? Why?
