Generally caffeine is most often seen as an agent to increase alertness and remove a tired

feeling. The research done on caffeine seen in this lab can be important to know at what point is
too much, too much.

Caffeine is a primary ingredient in many over the counter diet pills, but whether this actually
has any effect on weight loss (the theory is that metabolism in increased) remains
undemonstrated in any rigorous fashion.

Incidentally, for those who prefer their caffeine fix from beverages other than coffee, here is
the rough caffeine ratio: brewed coffee (120 mg per five ounce cup—though whose cup is
really five ounces?), instant coffee (65 mg), brewed tea (40 to 60 mg), caffeinated sodas (20
mg per 6 ounces), instant hot chocolate (4 mg per five ounce cup).
