• Wawasan Park is located in Taman Wawasan, one
of the earliest housing development in Puchong.
The park serves well as a public central
community park for the local residents and
visitors alike.

• A 20-acre neighbourhood park with 3.1 mile


(7,000-step) trails for jogging and cycling around
the park.

• It is located in Pusat Bandar Puchong.

• It is surrounded by residential townships and acts


as Recreational park of that neighbourhood.

• Its perimeter is around 1.62km

• It serves 250,000 residents around this park.

LANDSCAPE
• Taman Wawasan (TWW), landform conservation areas, is a park
that consists of lots of varies tree species which also act as
habitat corridor that allows movement by the wildlife species .
• The park is mainly built for the purpose of recreation but it still
conserve its landform to provide higher habitability level.

WATER BODY
• A PROJECT to deepen and upgrade a lake at Taman
Wawasan in Puchong, Selangor, to prevent flash floods.

• Prior to this, he said in a media statement, the 808.3 sq


metre lake was only less than 0.3m deep.

• “The lake is being deepened to more than one metre,


thereby reducing the risk of floods

• The project also involves cleaning and dredging works,


including soil ditches to the lake.

• Two aerator units will be installed to increase the oxygen


content in the water

Facilities wise, the park offers basketball court, futsal court,
exercise and gym equipments, children playground
JOGGING PATH
• This route will take you to the Wawasan Recreational
Park area, where the trail will take you around some
lakes.

• There are beautiful scenery along the route around


this lake area.

• This park area is popular for family activities such as


cycling, and jogging, especially on weekends.
• On this route you will be able to see various species of
flora/fauna.
PARKING
There are not much of dedicated parking spots unfortunately so
visitors would have to find a safe spot and park along the road.
WASTE MANAGEMENT
Frequent park-goers, found it shocking that they frequently spotted
rubbish everywhere which caused an unpleasant stench in the area.
