What I Need to Know
This section was designed to help you learn about entrepreneurship and other
related entrepreneurial characteristics and competencies one must be able to
possess characteristics to become a successful entrepreneur. It is very easy in your
part because the scope and terminologies being used are simplified to cater the level
of your understanding. The lessons are arranged to follow the standard sequence of
the course. But the order in which you read them can be changed to correspond with
the resource material you are now using.
The lesson is divided into two subtopics, namely:
• Subtopic1 – Assessment of Personal Entrepreneurial Competencies (PECs).
• Subtopic 2 – Analysis of PECs in relation to a practitioner.

LO1. Recognize PECs needed in Technical Drafting.
Hello there! Welcome to the world of PECs! This lesson helps you recognize
PECs needed in Technical Drafting. In this part, we will help you assess and
discover various characteristics, attributes, lifestyle, skills and traits one must
possess to become a better entrepreneur in the field of drafting in the future.
What’s In
Last topic, we have learned about the basic concepts and theories of
technical drafting and explored different opportunities for a career in technical
drafting. Before we proceed, let me share to you a short story.
A grade 7 student named Ben likes to learn in school. He is aiming to have a
good grades to become successful in the future and at the same time makes his
parents proud.
Before the test, he spent nights studying and reviewing. As a result, because
he has good qualities and competencies to learn,he got a high scores in the test.
What he did was a good example of how to be successful in the future. Like
the story of Ben, for us to become successful in technical drafting career, we need to
study about PECs or Personal Entrepreneurial Competencies.

As a future businessman/businesswoman someday, we need to look closely
and examine our personal characteristics and competencies to become successful
entrepreneurs.
